This is my work of environment design illustrations for a small student game that never saw the light of day.
During my 2nd year as a student in a video game focused school, I worked with two other students on our year end's project named Travel, a 2D pixel-art puzzle platformer game (which we absolutely didn't finish). As the main artist, I was basically working on everything, from environment design to character animations, passing through sound design as well.
The game took place in a huge tower-city - think Divinity's Reach in Guild Wars 2 - separated in different zones, with each their own environment hosting different humanoid species of inhabitants and social classes. Here I tried to visually design those places.
While I am happy with some of the pictures look, concept art - and imagining new things - is definitely my biggest weak point in terms of art and game creation.
for some of the shots, I used Blender to help for the perspective.
